Sometimes you might forget the WiFi passwords on your Windows PC and would like to connect your Android phone to the same network. But you can’t find the option to see the password and let your phone access it. So, here are two methods which will help you view passwords on your Android device.

See Saved WiFi Passwords on Android

Method 1: Access WiFi Password for Smartphones with Android 10+ [Without Root]

Open the WiFi Settings: Go to the settings menu and search for “Wi-Fi” category. For Stock Android, you can locate the category by going to Settings –> Network & internet. Once you find it, tap on it.

View Wi-Fi Passwords: Go to the “Saved networks” option. The you’ll see a list of all the Wi-Fi networks your phone remembers. Select one of them.

Now click on “Share” option and you will be asked to verify its you by taking your fingerprint or passcode. Then you will see a QR which represents the Wifi network’s SSID and the password will be below it.

You can use this scanner code for any other device if you’d like or you can use the wifi password to login to the network.

Method 2: See Saved WiFi Passwords on Android Using Root Explorer [Root]

You should now have the option to see the system SSID and relating wifi passwords close to it. Search for the network that you wish to know the wifi password of, write it down and close the file. Please be extremely cautious and make sure that you don’t alter anything in the document. If you do, then you may begin getting a few issues with your WiFi network which can be hard to distinguish and correct it if you don’t recall or know about the edits. Please be very very careful and ensure that you don’t edit anything in the file.
